Now in it’s 9th year The Ghostlight Sessions is one of the country’s longest running established original emerging music nights. Each night features 3 30 minute sets performed by some of Ireland’s best new musical talent. October’s Ghostlght features 2 4- piece bands – All Things Eve and Boy M5 – as well as singer-songwriter John Nelson.

All Things Eve is a singer-songwriter originating from small-town Germany, who has found her musical haven in Ireland. Expect ever-changing, rich soundscapes inspired by the vulnerability of artists like Jeff Buckley and the folk sensibilities of Joni Mitchell and Laura Marling. Eve’s songwriting tends to blur lines between genres. Carefully crafted lyricism nestled into heart-tugging, intricate melodies lie at the heart of every song.
Marked as an up and comer to watch, Eve played her first headline show in The Cobblestone this May with Aiken Promotions and supported Jamie McIntyre at the Galway Folk Festival in June.
Boy M5 are a four-piece indie rock band from Derry and Donegal, making anthemic, melody-driven songs full of lift, tension and emotional punch. Led by Kyle O’Neill on vocals and guitar, alongside Nigel Hegarty on drums, Caoimhe Bell on keys and synths, and Nyree Porter on bass, the band combine sharp songwriting with a powerful, full-bodied sound that hits hard both live and on record.

With soaring harmony driven choruses, dynamic textures and a growing reputation for high-energy performances, Boy M5 are building toward their debut album with real momentum. Their recent work, mastered at Abbey Road, marks another step forward for a band steadily carving out their own lane.

The bands latest single, ‘You Are The You’, being released in July 2026, while taking a broad influence from 80’s ballads, moves the band a further step forward into the realms of big harmonies, drum hooks, and a breakdown to leave a lasting impression on the listener.
John Nelson is a familiar face on the Donegal music scene, playing regularly all over the north west as well as further afield.
Blending Americana and roots music with folk sensibilities his music is dark and raw with an underlying sense of optimism and passion.
