Balor Developmental Community Arts (Balor DCA)
From drama and music, to certified training projects and touring plays; the Balor DCA runs a variety of projects. We have a team of very experienced arts and training practitioners that run drama classes, work in-schools, work with community groups and other organisations in our many projects.
What we do
The Balor Developmental Community Arts (DCA) mission statement is to “facilitate creative engagement in the Arts, as means for community educational development”. In the last 12 months the Balor DCA has delivered projects to over 2,200 participants.
Since 1999 and with the kind support of local, national and international funding bodies, the Balor DCA has a celebrated history in offering community arts and educational projects across the North West of Ireland.
We have demonstrated the positive role that the Arts can play in cultivating community relations. Through this participatory work, friendships are formed, and a greater understanding between participants of different religious and cultural backgrounds is cultivated.
