The Balor welcomes Irish country music icon and Irish Country Music Hall of Famer Declan Nerney.
Born in Drumlish, Co. Longford, Declan Nerney has crafted a catalogue brimming with signature songs that resonate across generations such as Stop the World (and Let Me Off), Anna from Fermanagh, Three Way Love Affair and others—all co-written with collaborator Henry McMahon.
Declan joined his first band – The Hi-Lows – aged just 16 and became a fixture on stages across Ireland soonafter. His breakthrough came with the autobiographical hit The Marquee in Drumlish – a tribute to his childhood and the cultural heartbeat of rural Irish music.
A dedicated performer and storyteller, Nerney has remained ever-present in the Irish country music scene often returning to headling historic venues and high profile festivals. His recent induction into the Irish Country Music Hall of Fame, bestowed during a Late Late Show Country Music Special, cements his status as a national treasure.
Join Declan and his fantastic band with special guests Hugo Duncan and Gavin Gribben for a memorable night of music, song and fun.
