We’ve just been informed this morning (Monday Sep 23rd) that the Tara Howley concert scheduled for Saturday Sep 28th won’t go ahead as planned due to circumstances beyond the control of either Tara or The Balor. We’re working with Tara to see if we can schedule a new date. All tickets already purchased will remain valid for the rescheduled date. Ticket holders also have the option of a ticket exchange or a refund.

The brilliant Tara Howley – a prolific multi-award-winning artist from Kilfenora, Co. Clare – excels as an instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and composer.
With a background in classical and traditional music, Tara’s illustrious career is adorned with prestigious awards including winning 14 all Ireland gold medals on multiple instruments.
For 7 years, she was the lead Uilleann piper, whistle and concertina player in ‘Riverdance,’ the Grammy-winning show, captivating global audiences in over 30 countries. She’s toured extensively across Europe, Asia, America, and Canada. Tara’s remarkable journey includes being a soloist for Universal Music’s ‘Riverdance 25th Anniversary’ album and DVD with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra.
Her musical collaborations span luminaries like the Grammy-nominated ‘Afro Celt Sound System’ and performances alongside legends such as Sir James Galway, Bill Whelan, Steve Cooney and Sharon Shannon. She also recently worked with Simon Cowell’s publishing label with pop idol ‘ Lucy Spragan’ playing Uilleann pipes and low whistle. Tara’s artistry has graced national and international TV, documentaries, and podcasts including performing on ‘ The Late Late Show’ three times last year.
Embarking on a solo career, she successfully completed her first headline tour around Ireland last year performing with her band. She achieved success with a remarkable EP alongside Malaysia’s Faliq Auri, resonating in 188+ countries. Her recent single, ‘Outlawed Tunes on Outlawed,’ etched history as the sole female uilleann piper to hit number 9 on the iTunes Charts. Tara commands a significant online presence with over 290,000 followers across her social media platforms.
