Joe returns home from London to Donegal under a cloud. His father is seriously ill and being cared for by home help Marie. Dealing with his father’s illness forces him to confront issues concerning the untimely death of his own son some years earlier. The ensuing family drama results in a heady mixture of serious themes and dark humour.
