Our first Ghostlight Sessions of 2023 has an intoxicating line-up of top class music from Mayo, Cork and Donegal with Niall McCabe, Sarah Buckley and Without Willow.

Clare Ireland, Co. Mayo man Niall McCabe enjoys a reputation as one of Ireland’s finest singers and songwriters. His Folk-Soul group The Niall McCabe Band has performed extensively over the last decade. More recently he has been lending his voice to Irish trad-fusion band Beoga touring Ireland, Europe and the USA while also playing support to Ed Sheeran, Foy Vance and Johnny Swim. His solo album Rituals has just been released.

Indie folk singer songwriter Sarah Buckley is a beguiling vocalist with a storytelling approach to songwriting. Her debut single ‘You’ve Got Me’ captured an immediate audience and industry interest leading to a national TV performance, festival appearances and 1.3 million radio impressions worldwide. Sarah has built on this success by collaborating and recording with some of Ireland’s leading music producers, Karl Odlum (David Kitt, Gemma Hayes), Darragh Nolan (Ailbhe Reddy) & Richey McCourt (LAOISE, Will Young) over the past year. The results of this will be released as two sister EPs in the coming months.

Acoustic folk duo Without Willow (Karen Kelly and Simon McCafferty) are one of Donegal’s most highly rated acts. They blend haunting, heart felt vocals with beautiful, intricate guitar playing to create a distinctive sound that has established them as firm favourites on the Donegal music scene. They have also enjoyed success overseas playing sold out shows in Germany 2019 and Canada in 2022. Their self titled debut EP ‘Without Willow’ and lastest singles Nightingale and As Autumn Falls are available for digital download/streaming on all major platforms. They are currently working on their debut full length album.
