Mickey Duffy – Making Changes Album Launch

Singer Songwriter Mickey Duffy has recently been ‘Making Changes’ with his own style and brand of music.

His original songs take a positive and interesting spin on life, steadily spreading around the Donegal music scene and airwaves creating a following. Releasing his first album ‘Think Twice’ in 2018, since then he’s been busy performing at various venues and festivals around Ireland and further afield. Join Mickey this evening on the launch of his latest album recorded at Valley Music Studio, Ballybofey.

Mickey will be joined on the night by a band consisting of top Donegal musicians Mick McCarney (guitar), Billy Robinson (bass) and Romek Parol on drums.

Billy is a sound engineer, record producer and musician who has produced and worked with a who’s who of local, national and international musicians during his long and storied career,

Mick began his professional career in music in the 80’s playing with Donegal soul funk band ‘Quarterdeck’. He has since played with the likes of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. ‘Naked Lunch'(Steely Dan Tribute band), Dolores Keane, Chiara Browne and Ben Reel!

Romek is a Seasoned and acclaimed drummer with an amazing music history past and present. He’s supported the likes of ZZ Top and toured with ex-Thin Lizzy guitarist Eric Bell – and that’s just for starters.

Opening act on the night will be Donegal singer-songwriter Jonathan Smeaton. Jonathan is an acclaimed veteran of the Donegal music scene. Playing and writing since his early teens he’s an accomplished and sure-footed live performer whose songs cover all aspects of life, death and everything in between.
