The Balor DCA Summer Camps have been hosted since 2008. Children from various ages take part in this programme, many for the first time, in exploring different aspects of performance and theatrical techniques over the course of the week.
Activities in workshops vary from working on costumes, props, sound and musical effects culminating in a small devised performance at the end of the week. These workshops enabled the younger group of children to create characters and devise stories to be performed.
Workshops for the older group were based in developing their improvisation techniques and their basic acting and movement skills. They also receive training in the importance of physical and vocal ability as part of a performance.
