Voted Best Emerging Artist at the RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards in 2018, Emma Langford’s music has often drawn comparisons to the likes of Joni Mitchell, Janis Ian and Lisa Hannigan. Her debut 2017 alnum Quiet Giant received great critical acclaim and was followed by a 100 date tour across Ireland, the UK and Europe.
Citing George Jones, Gene Watson and Gene Stuart as influences, Eddie Carey is rapidly becoming known as the new voice of Irish country music. Having previously broken into the Irish country charts with Murphy’s Bar and The Longest Time his latest single You Can’t Take It With You When You Go is enjoying frequent airplay on all regional radio stations around the country.
Ballybofey native Karl McHugh has made waves performing for the last 5 years along the west coast of America as one half of the songwriting duo McHugh & Devine. Their song “Flame” placed 2nd out of over 4,000 entries in the presitigious West Coast Songwriters Internatinoal competition, winning best Adult/contemporary song of the year.
Tom Bonner AKA Strawman is a Ballybofey-based singer songwriter who is currently working on completing his second full album – due for release in September.
