It seems like no time at all that The Lost Brothers played one of the standout gigs of the Earagail Arts Festival here at The Balor in July 2016. They make their eagerly anticipated return to mark the release of their new album Halfway Towards A Healing due for release on January 26th.
The harmony-laden Lost Brothers – Irish songwriters and musicians Oisin Leech and Mark McCausland – have been marked for greatness ever since the release of their 2008 debut album Trails Of The Lonely. In their music the influences of songsmiths such as Van Morrison and Paul McCartney can be heard.
Like a fine wine they’ve grown better with age with their new album shaping up to be their best work to date. It contains 12 superb tracks – 3 co-written with The Frames Glen Hansard – showcasing their commitment to writing timeless crafted songs with well hewn melodies and compelling lyrics that bring you down unexpected roads.
They come to The Balor as part of a UK and Irish tour before heading off to the US in March and Australia in April.
